Virtual Screening: The Ants and the Grasshopper

Join us for a virtual screening on Wednesday, December 1st at 7pm CST!

Edible Madison is excited to host a virtual screening of The Ants & The Grasshopper, a powerful documentary that follows Anita Chitaya, a Malawian climate change activist, as she travels across the U.S. to talk with climate-skeptic farmers and community leaders.

The screening will be available to Edible Communities nationwide, in partnership with the founders of Muloma Heritage Center. Grab your popcorn and enjoy a discussion with filmmaker Zak Piper and Muloma Founders, including Chefs Mashama Bailey, Adrian Lipscombe, David Thomas and Tonya Thomas, on the connection of climate to kitchen and their work to preserve and protect Black foodways through agricultural land preservation and more.

We hope you enjoy this free event and encourage you to donate generously to the work of Muloma Heritage Center. Suggested donation $15 per viewer.

"I am blown away. You have found a hero of such grace and intelligence and power...The film is obviously not about agriculture in the way I expected to be — it’s much bigger than that. We get to observe history. ” — Michael Pollan, Author
