Tasty Guide to a Healthy Planet

A new video series called A Tasty Guide to a Healthy Planet is traveling the country, celebrating the people behind good food and our invaluable local food systems. This series is the fledgling project of director David Haldiman, chef and food activist Barbara Wright, and host Amelia Royko, all of whom are based in our own vibrant, home-grown food community of Madison, Wis. 

Last year, Tasty Guide started in Madison and traveled throughout the Northern Heartland gathering more than 200 hours of video interviews with chefs, farmers, doctors, foodies, business owners and food experts. All of that initial work was self-funded, and now they've launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for the final few stages of this project. They will not accept donations from organizations that do not support local food systems, so this Kickstarter campaign is vital to their existence. As of this writing, they are at $3,300 and still need a good chunk of funding to complete the hundreds of hours of editing and to finish up interviews for a few final episodes.
