Ingredients

Pumpkin-Allspice Vodka Infusion
1 quart vodka of choice
2 to 3 wedges of a small pie pumpkin
6 to 10 allspice cloves

Drink
5 ounces fresh tomato juice
1 ounce organic vegetable broth
1 ounce pumpkin-allspice infused vodka
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
⅛ tsp. ground cayenne pepper powder
⅛ tsp. fresh ground black pepper
Pinch of celery salt

Garnish
1-inch cube of venison sausage
1-inch cube sauteed squash
1-inch cube smoked Gouda cheese
1 steamed or pickled Brussels sprout

Directions

To prepare pumpkin-allspice infused vodka: Fill a one-quart mason jar with fresh pumpkin wedges, vodka and allspice cloves. Seal and let sit at room temperature for 8 to 12 days.

To prepare the bloody mary: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Grind fresh black pepper over the ice and add all drink ingredients. Shake the drink to thoroughly to chill and mix. Pour into a pint glass, grind two more turns of black pepper. Garnish with skewer of venison sausage, smoked Gouda, Brussels sprout and sauteed squash.

Suggestions

Chase with a nice, dark porter or other seasonal brew.
