Ingredients

4 Tbsp. mix of dried thyme, oregano, and/or marjoram

2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds

2 Tbsp. ground dried sumac

1 tsp. flake sea salt

Optional: 1 Tbsp. toasted and ground coriander and/or toasted and ground cumin

Optional: 1 tsp. toasted and ground caraway and/or crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

1

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl (or for a finer texture, pulse a few times in a spice grinder or use a mortar and pestle).

2

Store in an air-tight glass jar.

Suggestions

Tip! Make big batch of za’atar and keep it in a jar in the fridge to always have on hand.
