Rooted is committed to growing a community-led, sustainable food system through urban agriculture education, food production, and land access. Rooted partners with 12 Madison Schools to provide garden education to youth, distributes thousands of pounds of food to local neighbor centers and food pantries, supports community gardens and collaborative farm gardens throughout Dane County, and hosts free community events throughout the Madison area. Through three urban farms, over 70 community gardens, one neighborhood center, and countless community partnerships, Rooted offers hands-on education, access to fresh produce, land stewardship, and community events to build a resilient and healthy food system for all.
