Details
Think of green onions as the kid brother to the more moody, more pungent grown onion bulb. Milder with a sweeter flavor, green onions are essentially onions that were harvested before fully developing into a complete bulb. Both the white and green parts are edible. When buying, look for bunches with bright green leaves that stand upright and firm bulbs.
Nutrition: Green onions are high in vitamins A, C and K.
