Details
Winter radishes originated in Asia and are typically grown for storage. The giant daikon is the most recognizable, but there are other winter radishes that deserve a good tasting. Black radishes are a favorite in Eastern Europe and Russia. The beauty heart radish, for one, has impeccable flavor as well as looking like a firecracker just went off on your plate. Nutrition: Winter radishes are valued as a detoxifier, a blood cleanser and a digestive aid. They contain vitamin C and fiber.
