Cranberry Glögg
Warm up to the holidays with a German-inspired spiced red wine that highlights a very Wisconsin crop: cranberries.
Ingredients
4 cups cranberry wine
1 1⁄2 cups organic orange juice
6 to 8 star anise tips
4 cardamom pods
2 sticks cinnamon
2 Tbsp. honey
3 Tbsp. dried cranberries
Additional cinnamon sticks

Combine cranberry wine, orange juice, star anise, cardamom, 2 cinnamon sticks, honey and dried cranberries in a large saucepan. Bring to lowest simmer, cover and cook about 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let mixture steep 1 or more hours.

Strain liquid and return it to a clean saucepan. Reheat just before serving. Garnish each cup with a cinnamon stick or star anise.
