Endless Summer “Poptail”
Wisco Pop captured the height of summer with their strawberry soda, so let’s drink like it’s summer year-round. They recommend The Ventures’ “Walk Don’t Run” to get the vibe juuuust right.
Ingredients
15 basil leaves, slapped*
32 oz. organic lemonade
8 oz. vodka, divided
1 bottle (12 oz.) Wisco Pop! Strawberry Soda, divided
Bitters
More slapped basil leaves for garnish
Optional: Fresh strawberries and lemon slices for garnish
Directions
Stir the basil leaves into the lemonade and allow to infuse for a few hours.
Fill a Collins glass with ice. Add 2 ounces lemonade infusion, 2 ounces vodka, 3 ounces Strawberry Soda, and a dash of bitters. Garnish with extra basil leaves. Sip and pretend its summer forever.
Suggestions
* Slapping fresh leafy herbs helps bring out the flavorful essential oils, whereas muddling can just make herbs taste…well…muddy. Put a few leaves in one hand—just enough for an even layer—and give it a good smack. Just one. No need to overdo it.
