Mineral Mama Tea
This mineral-rich tea is great for supporting the body before, during and after pregnancy. It can be made in large batches and kept on hand to have a warm, soothing cup of tea whenever you need it. These herbs can support digestion, soothe the nervous system and ease some pregnancy symptoms. Though these herbs have been used by mothers for centuries and are generally considered pregnancy-safe, some practitioners recommend avoiding herbs during the first trimester. If you are pregnant or nursing, be sure to consult your healthcare provider before adding in this or any herbal remedies.
Ingredients
1 ounce dried nettles
1 ounce dried peppermint
1 ounce dried red raspberry leaf
1 ounce dried lemon balm
1 ounce dried chamomile
2 ounce dried rose hips
Directions
In a quart-sized glass jar, combine the dried herbs and mix well.
When you are ready to brew the tea, bring 8 ounces of water to a boil. Once boiling, pour the water over 1–2 tablespoons of the dried tea mixture in a mug or heatproof vessel.
Let the tea steep for 8–12 minutes, then strain and enjoy as-is or with a bit of honey.
