Nettle Elixir
Try this Nettle Elixir for a cool, refreshing, and nourishing drink during summer and year-round.
Ingredients
2 Tbsp. dried nettles
Directions
1
Into a 1 quart canning jar crumble dried nettles, enough to cover the bottom of the jar. Fill the jar with boiling water, and let it sit to cool.
2
The "elixir," or tea, will appear golden-green at first. When cool enough, put the jar into the refrigerator for a day or two. When the elixir turns emerald green, it's ready.
3
Strain and serve over ice. It is delicious plain, sweetened, or in a goblet with a dash of salt.
