A walking-eating tour of Madison is a perfect fall activity whether you’re a visitor, new to the city or a long-time resident. Madison Food Explorers wanders a one-and-a-half mile path through downtown from lake to lake, with stops at notable historic locations and six food locations along the way.
“The guides are teachers, cooks, and experts in architectural history,” says Founder Andrea Hughes. “They love people, Madison and food. Most are part-time and just enjoy sharing Madison with guests.” This year’s tasting stops include Heritage Tavern, Fromagination, Ian’s Pizza, Himal Chuli, State Street Brats and ending with Babcock Hall ice cream at the UW Memorial Union.
Tours are $45 per person and run through October. Private tours are also available for groups. For more information visit MadisonFoodExplorers.com.
