Plough & Barrel CSA Dinner Series

Notable Edibles

Edible Madison is excited to sponsor the Plough & Barrel Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Dinner Series happening throughout this summer at The Coopers Tavern in Madison. Chef Tim Larson will prepare three-course dinners with fresh ingredients from local farms, and each course will be paired with a Wisconsin brew.

“The Plough & Barrel CSA Dinner Series is a celebration of good food and the grower-to-eater partnerships that nourish our farms and families,” said Kiera Mulvey, executive director of the FairShare CSA Coalition (formerly MACSAC). “Dane County Executive Joe Parisi declared 2012 the ‘Year of CSA’ in recognition of the vibrant community that we in Southern Wisconsin have built around food. The Plough & Barrel CSA dinners showcase that spirit and celebrate FairShare CSA Coalition’s 20-year anniversary the best way we know how— by eating delicious food together.”

The April 30th event featured ingredients from Christensen’s Farm, Dreamfarm and Coulee View Family Farm, with beer pairings from New Glarus Brewery. Tickets are available at The Coopers Tavern or online for the August 6 and October 1 dinners.
